EF Founders Scholarships - 50% scholarships for the full 2 years course!

EF would like to find 6 Talents!

An opportunity to obtain a 50% scholarship (tuition, room and board) on a 2 year A-Level or International Baccalaureate Diploma programme, starting in September 2010 in the UK or USA. If you are talented and ambitious, we want to hear from you!

Application Criteria

At a minimum, applicants should demonstrate excellence in two key areas: academic grades and English language. Candidates will also present themselves as well-rounded individuals. This may be shown by extra curricular achievements such as sporting achievements, musical talent, community service and so on. Winners of local or national academic competitions such as Maths or English Olympiads are welcome to apply. Successful applicants will be highly motivated and will be looking to further their studies at world-renowned institutions after their time at EF International Academy — preferably at Oxbridge colleges or Ivy League universities.

Application Process

Candidates can apply to their local EF representative office (EXCEL-CONSULTING in Moldova) in the first instance. The EF International Academy Founder’s Scholarship Application Form should be completed and submitted along with:

• most recent high school transcript;
• a letter of recommendation from the candidate’s school and/or class teacher;
• evidence of ability in English (an internationally recognized qualification or the EF free English test);
• evidence of other relevant talents/ achievements;

Additionally, an essay of 300-500 words is required, the essay should outline

1) the applicant’s ambitions for the future;

2) how they can contribute to the EF International Academy community;

3) why they believe they should be awarded the scholarship.

Award Process

Each EF representative office worldwide can nominate a maximum of five candidates locally for submission to the central EF International Academy scholarship board, by no later than December 31st 2009. Candidates that are selected for a scholarship interview will be informed not later than January 15th 2010, the interviews will take place by telephone not later than January 31st 2010. Results will be announced on Feb 5th 2010.

Payment Terms

The EF International Academy Founder’s scholarship is payable in two parts; 50% for year one of the A-level or IB Diploma Programme and 50% for year two of the same.

! Application deadline is Dec 31st.

! Results will be announced on 5th of February, 2010.

! 6 students will be chosen from around the world to get the 50%x2 year scholarship-short-listed candidates will be top academic pax who have potential to go to Oxbridge and Ivy League.

  Hallo.Could you tell me, if i've graduated Lyceum this year can i take part in this compet for the scholarship? Thank you.

  The scholarship is offered for those who are still studying at High School as it is for A-Level or IB Diploma programmes.
  Having already garduated from a Moldavian Lyceum means you have completed the Secondary Education.
