Submit a personal portfolio that showcases works highlighting your creative skills, critical thinking, personality, and design approach. We are not looking for perfection, but for perspective: your portfolio should be a window into your creative world – how you observe, explore, and question.

Your portfolio may include, for example:

• visual experiments and personal projects

• sketches, photographs, collages, digital works

• videos, concept boards, short texts

• schoolwork or independent research

• any expression of your creative identity and curiosity

Develop an original project based on the Brief proposed for this edition of the Contest.

TO MY FUTURE SELF: A TIME CAPSULE

Imagine being able to send a message to yourself in the future. What would you want to leave for the person you will become when you graduate from IED?

This challenge invites you to create a time capsule containing three elements: a letter, an image and an object. Imagine opening it at the end of your journey at IED. What would you want your future self to find inside?

Create a document in any format you prefer (PDF, presentation, etc.) to present your time capsule and explain your choices.

N.B.: It is mandatory to include all three required elements (letter, image, and object).

01 – LETTER

Write a letter to yourself at the end of your journey at IED. Imagine opening this message on your graduation day. What would you like to tell your future self about who you are today? Who do you hope to become? What challenges do you hope to have overcome? You are free to write whatever feels meaningful to you.

**Maximum 1,000 characters (excluding spaces).

02 – IMAGE

Choose or create an image to leave for your future self. Your image can be a photograph you have taken, a drawing, or another visual creation of your own. You can also choose an existing image from a book or the internet if it expresses something meaningful to you. Include the image and explain your choice in a short text beginning with:
I am leaving you this image because…

**Maximum 350 characters (excluding spaces).
Please indicate the source of the image (e.g. website, book or magazine) or specify if it is your own creation.

03 – OBJECT

Choose an object to leave for your future self. It can be an everyday object that is meaningful to you or something you have designed or created yourself, such as a fashion design, a prototype or a sculpture. Show your object using a photograph, a drawing or an illustration. You can create the image yourself or use an existing image. Include the image and explain your choice in a short text beginning with:
I am leaving you this object because…
